Hey Friends,
We're done our walk through the gospel. Isn't Jesus beautiful?
Everyone seems to have enjoyed that enough to do it again soon. One good idea I've heard is that we could go through Luke and then Acts, it's natural sequel. Maybe next year!
Here's where we're going for the next two weeks. This will set us up for the rest of the Summer (June-August), when we'll be talking about community living.
These books are so beautiful. Like poetry, they are.
Peace.

Friday (20) Colossians 4
Saturday (21) Philemon
As you read, consider the following questions:
1. What does this passage tell me about Jesus?
2. How is Holy Spirit encouraging me?
3. How is Holy Spirit convicting me?
4. How can I as an individual and we as the church live this out?
5. What questions do I have about this passage?
In a journal, write the date, the passages you read, and then write a sentence or two at least about the text, your thoughts from the questions above, or a prayer.
Keep your journal entries. Bring them to your smallgroup meeting, and be prepared to share with each other and be encouraged by each other as we get to know scripture together.

Engaging ancient scripture in alternative community.
Wrestling in and with community, empire, and freedom.
Approaching the Bible humbly, allowing it to read me.
These notes are old, but I'm keeping the blog up
mostly to preserve the entries on Genesis, for now.
They are being rewritten for a book, tentatively titled West of Eden.
This blog is dedicated to my church.
