My Palestinian Canadian Jewish friend spent some time in Israel last year during the Gaza war last holiday season.
I just spent some time with her, and she told me some of her stories including having witnessed this story live on the news while she was there.
When the anchor says "IDF" he's talking to the Israeli Defense Forces responsible for the shelling, asking them to come to the Doctor's aid.
The Palestinian Father's name is Dr. Aboul Aish. The Israeli anchor's name is Shlomi Eldar.
This is real. This is mainstream Israeli news. This is difficult to watch.
Understandably, this hit the media pretty hard, so there was a response that can also be found on Youtube. Israeli aid was given to this Aboul's family, and it was recorded for television. Of course, dozens of others experienced loss of home or life who were not necessarily so fortunate as to become a known cause for the media. And nothing can bring Aboul Aish's daughter back.
